Sandra was hired at Zion Township as the Administrative Assistant in September 2012. The responsibility of the Administrative Assistant is to provide assistance and support to the functioning of the Township’s overall community programs and services. Sandra is a detail-oriented, self-starter that is always looking for ways to improve processes. She excels at organization, efficiency, scheduling, and following policies and procedures. In less than a year, Sandra has become a great asset to the Zion community and Township.
In April of 2013, Sandra had the opportunity to facilitate our Senior Resource Day event. She paid attention to every detail required to make the event successful and was diligent with coordination of mass mailings and correspondence to vendors and venue managers. Thanks to Sandra’s attention to detail, the program ran smooth and was extremely organized on the day of the event.
“So far, my favorite program with the Township is Senior Resource Day. I get to be hands on with organizing the program from start to finish. I like to see the enjoyment on the senior’s faces at the event and know I had something to do with it.”
According to Gail Gloudemans, former Assistant Township Supervisor, “The thing I appreciate most about Sandra is her willingness to jump in to help her teammates whenever she is needed to provide administrative support. Her dedication to the success of her team is invaluable!” Sandra has received a number of Employee Appreciation Cards because she always goes above and beyond her job description to lend support to coworkers and clients.
